A meeting of the Georgia-NATO Commission at the level of Defence Ministers will be held in Brussels on June 5. Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Alasania will attend.
The Georgian Defence Ministry told Trend that issues of bilateral cooperation will be discussed during the meeting.
Alasania will familiarise NATO representatives with the reforms undertaken by the Georgian authorities in the field of defence.
After the meeting, Alasania will meet with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
The Georgian Defence Minister will also participate in the NATO ministerial meeting and discuss peacekeeping operations.
NATO defence ministers will hold a separate meeting with colleagues from 22 other member states belonging to the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan.
Head of the Afghan Defence Ministry Bismellah Mohammadi, EU's diplomatic chief Catherine Ashton and UN Secretary General's special representative for Afghanistan Jan Kubis will attend the meeting.
