Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili paid a working visit to Austria to participate in the congress of the European People's Party in Vienna.
The Georgian presidential administration told Trend today that Saakashvili received a personal invitation from the party chairman Wilfried Martens.
The leaders of leading European countries and international organizations attend the congress.
A faction of the European People's Party actively protects the interests of the Georgian President's party "United National Movement" in the European Parliament. It demands to put an end to the detention of former senior officials of the Georgian government and to release them.
