Financial police of Georgia's Ministry of Finance detained the acting head of administration of Georgia's Kobuleti resort town Tengiz Zoidze.
He is accused of corruption, the financial police reported on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Georgian president's United National Movement party notes in its statement that, the party's member Zoidze was detained due to alleged financial irregularities, which were made while painting two houses in Kobuleti in 2007.
The statement notes that, the detainment of Zoidze is the continuation of persecution policy against the members of former ruling party.
