The Georgian Dream party of the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili excluded one members and issued warnings for two its members in connection with the incident in Zugdidi during which a crowd threw stones and bottles at the activists of Georgian President's United National Movement party, who were participating at the primary elections.
The Georgian Dream party condemns the incident that took pace on July 20 during primary elections of the United National Movement in Zugdidi, the statement of Georgian Dream party's political council said on Tuesday.
According to the statement the party believes that any violent or aggressive actions are unacceptable in political processes.
"Despite the fact that the Georgian Dream party was not participating as a political subject in the organization of the protest, the participation of separate members of the party in the incident was revealed. The political council of the Georgian Dream party has made the decision about the following persons: Gayoz Moniava received a written warning, Lasha Gogia received a warning, and Zaal Todua was excluded from the party," the statement said.
