Central Election Commission of Georgia officially registered two candidates as a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections in October, 27.
The leader of the Labour Party Shalva Natelashvili and Michael (Gela) Saluashvili were registered, CEC of Georgia told Trend.
Number of electoral subjects that appealed to the CEC for registration, has already reached 34, three of them were rejected and 25 action groups have been registered. At the same time appeal to the CEC of four parties except of the Labour Party is waiting for registration.
In particular, own presidential candidates were presented by the ruling coalition "Georgian Dream" - Giorgi Margvelashvily, the pro-presidential party "United National Movement" - David Bakradze, "For Fair Georgia" - Sergo Javakhadze and Christian-Democratic Movement - Giorgi Targamadze.
At this stage, the registration of parties and initiative groups is continuing. Receipt of applications will end on September 7.
For register directly presidential candidates until September 17 it is need to submit to the CEC at least 26,530 signatures.
The process of registration of candidates for the presidency will end on September 27.
