The honorable chairman of the "Georgia's Way" party, former Foreign Minister of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will submit an application to the Central Election Commission (CEC) on Monday to register as a presidential candidate.

Salome Zurabishvili told journalists on Friday that she "has studied the Constitution well" and can be registered as a presidential candidate "quite easy".

"On Monday I will submit an application to the CEC for registration as a presidential candidate. Naturally, the decision should be adopted namely by the CEC. I don't expect concessions, the change of law or privileges, but only compliance with what was envisaged by the law," Zurabishvili noted.

On Friday she met with the head of the EU mission in Georgia Philip Dimitrov. She provided the diplomat with information about Georgia's legislation according to which Zurabishvili believes, there are no impediments in connection with dual citizenship for her participation in presidential elections.

According to Zurabishvili, she intends to explain to the representatives of international organizations in Georgia that she has a full right to participate in presidential elections.

After the meeting, Zurabishvili stated that she is satisfied with its results.
