Around 12 observers of the League of Arab States will arrive in Tbilisi on Wednesday to monitor the presidential election to be held on October 27.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend that a preliminary group of three observers of the League of Arab States headed by Deputy Secretary-General of the League Waguih Said Hanafi visited Georgia on September 30 - October 3.
During the visit, the delegation met with Georgian Minister of Justice, Deputy Foreign Minister and representatives of the Interior Ministry.
The parties signed a memorandum at a meeting with the chairman of the Georgian Central Election Commission.
The delegation of the League of Arab States for the first time takes part in the election observation mission in Georgia.
