A meeting of the Georgian Cabinet of Ministers will be held in the office of the Georgian government on Wednesday.
According to the government, the agenda includes 40 items. Presumably, the appointment of governors will be one such. A relevant statement was made by the prime minister at a press conference on October 28.
Nine governors have already resigned. New ones will be appointed by the Prime Minister.
Previously governors were appointed by the president, but according to the new constitution, they will be appointed by the Prime Minister.
It is likely the ministers will also discuss preparations for the inauguration of the newly elected Georgian president. According to the government, a special commission will work on preparations for the ceremony.
The presidential election was held in Georgia on October 27.
