Georgian PM accuses some NGOs of subversion

Tbilisi, Georgia, May 1

By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili accused some non-governmental organizations (NGO) of subversion against the country while speaking at the governmental meeting on May 1.

The PM said representatives of some NGOs have embarked on the project entitled 'This concerns you' and claim that Georgia conducts the massive wiretapping of citizens.

Garibashvili went on to add that this claim can be regarded as subversion against the country.

Garibashvili underscored that he was one of the main initiators of destroying illegal video and audio recordings that reflect citizens' private lives, adding that the work on the draft law on wiretapping began long ago.
