The Georgian-Russian forum of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will be held in Tbilisi on July 23, the organizers of the forum said.

Over 100 representatives of NGOs and international organizations will attend the forum.

"The objectives of the forum are to develop and support a permanent platform for a dialogue between NGOs of Georgia and Russia, to implement bilateral projects for the development of democracy, to resolve the Georgian-Russian relations, as well as to examine the role of non-governmental organizations in the development of civil society institutions," chairperson of the organizing committee of the NGO "Georgian cooperation forum" Maria Kanevskaya said.

"The role and place of non-governmental organizations in the development of civil society institutions and conflict settlement" will be the topic of the forum in 2014.

The representatives of more than 30 non-governmental organizations from 20 regions of Russia - from the Far East to St. Petersburg, as well as independent experts and their Georgian colleagues representing Kartli, Kakheti, Imereti, Samegrelo will attend the forum.
