During his recent visit to the US, the Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri met in Washington with his Ukrainian counterpart, Alexander Shlapak.
The Georgia Finance Ministry said Oct. 15 that the parties mulled the political and economic situation in both countries, particularly focusing on the current events in Ukraine, and the opportunities for Georgia to assist Ukraine.
Khaduri said the talks also covered the enhancement of cooperation between the two countries' finance ministries.
"We will also continue working to raise the bilateral Georgian-Ukrainian economic cooperation to a higher level, as Ukraine is one of our largest trade partners," Khaduri said.
