Georgia and China have discussed the intensification of the bilateral cooperation and the prospects for development of the new Silk Road.
The discussions were held during the meeting of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili with the member of the State Council of China Yang Jiechi during the 51st Munich Security Conference.
The Chinese side expressed readiness to participate in the Silk Road forum to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia in autumn of 2015.
Jiechi said China has adopted a decision to include Georgia in the Silk Road concept and is preparing a corresponding document for signing.
The sides emphasized the need to expand the trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and China and the possibility of attracting Chinese investments.
