Georgian citizens will receive all the high-quality coronavirus vaccinations which will be approved by international health organizations, said Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Gakharia said that a special vaccine commission has been created to solve all the logistical issues related to the vaccination process and identify target groups who should be vaccinated first.
Gakharia noted that the commission also aims to bring in vaccines not only through the Covax platform but in other ways also.
He said that there is a plan related to the vaccination which should be confirmed at the next government meeting.
Georgia has reported 1,177 new cases of coronavirus, 837 recoveries, and 26 deaths in the past 24 hours. Some 13,674 individuals remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia as of today.
Georgia has had 245,789 cases of coronavirus since February 2020.
