BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb.1

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Several COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted in Georgia since there are signs of an easing of the epidemiological situation in some regions of Georgia, the government announced earlier, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Municipal transport has resumed operations in five Georgian cities of Batumi, Zugdidi, Gori, Poti and Telavi, but will not operate on weekends in order to manage increased mobility.

Shops and shopping centers are opened in the same five cities during the working days and will be closed on weekends.

In-person studies resumed in all cities and towns of Georgia except for Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Rustavi.

Except on weekends, open spaces and open food facilities are allowed to receive guests in the Adjara region, however restrictions on weddings, various social events or parties are still in force.

In all other regions of Georgia restaurants and food facilities continue to operate on delivery service.

Open and closed markets are planned to be opened in all cities of Georgia on February 15.
