The number of non-tourist visits to Georgia in October 2021 totaled 15,025 people, which is an increase 551.3 percent, compared to 2,307 visitors in the same month of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
Meanwhile, the number of tourist trips in October 2021 amounted to 205,680 visitors – an increase of 313.7 percent, compared to 49,712 people in the same month of 2020.
The current index decreased by 69.1 percent in October 2021, compared to 665,055 visitors in October 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic).
The total number of international visitors to Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 amounted to 220,705 people, which is an increase of 324.3 percent, compared to 52,019 tourists in October 2020.
The same figure decreased by 71.8 percent in October 2021, compared to 782,670 visitors in the same period of 2019.
The total tourist inflow in Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to 1.5 million visitors, which is a decrease of 7.7 percent, compared to 1.6 million over the same period of 2020.
