Georgian Tourism Administration shares data on tourist inflow for 10M2021

The number of international visitors to Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to 1.5 million visitors, which is a decrease of 7.7 percent, compared to 1.6 million over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.

However, the current figure decreased by 81 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to 8 million visitors over first 10 months of 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic).

The number of non-tourist visits to Georgia from January through October 2021 totaled 128,225 people, which is a decrease of 44.4 percent, compared to 230,749 visitors over the reporting period of 2020, and a decrease of 90.7 percent, compared to 1.3 million people in the first 10 months of 2019.

Tourist trips to Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 slightly decreased by 1.8 percent and amounted to 1.3 million visitors, compared to 1.4 million from January through October 2020.

According to the statistics, the same indicator dropped by 79 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to 6.6 million visitors over first 10 months of 2019.
