The number of tourists (excluding non-tourist trips) traveling to Georgia through Batumi Sea Port from January through October 2021 amounted to 2,983 visitors, which is a decrease of 55 percent, compared to 6,632 people over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
The same figure also decreased by 81.4 percent, compared to 16,024 visitors traveling to Georgia through Batumi Port over the reporting period of 2019.
The share of Batumi Port by the tourist inflow to Georgia from January through October 2021 accounted for 0.2 percent.
Poti Sea Port received 2,646 tourists over the reporting period of 2021, which is a decrease of 46.1 percent, compared to 4,911 visitors in first 10 months of 2020.
The same index decreased by 83.7 percent, compared to 16,264 tourists coming to Georgia through Poti Port over the same period of 2019.
Poti Port also accounted for 0.2 percent of the total tourist inflow to Georgia over the reporting period of 2021.
The number of tourists traveling to Georgia through Kulevi Sea Port from January through October 2021 totaled 37 people – decrease of 92.9 percent, compared to 524 visitors over the same period of 2020.
Tourist inflow through Kulevi Port in the reporting period of 2021 decreased by 97.6 percent, compared to first 10 months of 2019, when 1,547 people visited Georgia.
Meanwhile, tourist trips to Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 decreased by 1.8 percent and amounted to 1.3 million visitors, compared to 1.4 million over first 10 months of 2020.
