Georgia shares data on TOP-5 commodities in domestic export

Georgia's domestic exports (excluding non-declared exports) from January through October 2021 amounted to $2.4 billion, which is an increase of 26.9 percent, compared to $1.9 billion over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

Georgia’s domestic exports accounted for 73.2 percent of the total exports in the reporting period of 2021, compared to 72.1 percent in the same period of 2020, the report said.

According to Geostat, the share of the ten largest countries in Georgia's total domestic exports amounted to 79 percent. The largest export partners in this regard are: China ($493.1 million), Russia ($440.7 million), and Turkey ($246.1 million).

TOP-5 commodities in total Georgian domestic exports (Jan. through Oct. 2021), compared to the same period of 2020:

Copper ores and concentrates – $665.6 million (1.8 percent decrease);

Ferro-alloys – $377.9 million (91.1 percent increase);

Natural wine – $187.8 percent (15.6 percent increase);

Mineral water – $118.4 million (26.6 percent increase);

Hazelnuts and other nuts – $88.3 million (31.1 percent increase).

Meanwhile, Georgian exports from January through October 2021 amounted to $3.3 billion – an increase of 24.9 percent, compared to $2.7 billion in the same period of 2020.
