Georgia expects double-digit economic growth by the end of 2021, which will bring the country to the level of European leaders, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava said, Trend reports via Georgian media.
“According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, economic growth in Georgia was at 6.9 percent in October 2021. The 10-month economic growth is still double-digit at 10.5 percent. We also expect to have double-digit economic growth by the end of the current year,” Turnava said.
The minister stressed that economic growth was observed in most sectors of the Georgian economy.
The processing industry is characterized by a particularly high growth rate, as well as the logistics and hospitality industry, the recovery rates of which are quite high, she added.
According to Turnava, Georgian exports are growing at a faster pace than expected, which has also made a very significant contribution to economic growth.
