Georgia shares data on trade turnover in 11M2021

Georgia’s foreign trade turnover (excluding non-declared trade) from January through November 2021 amounted to $12.8 billion, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

According to the statistical data, the current index increased by 25.2 percent, compared to $10.2 billion over the same period of 2020.

Georgia’s exports over the reporting period of 2021 amounted to $3.8 billion, which is an increase of 26.7 percent, compared to $3.01 billion in the first 11 months of 2020.

Georgia’s imports from January through November 2021 amounted to $9 billion – an increase of 24.5 percent, compared to $7.1 billion over the same period of 2020.

The trade deficit in Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 equaled $5.1 billion with a 40.4 percent share in the total trade turnover.

The same index over the first 11 months of 2020 amounted to $4.1 billion, while its share in the total trade turnover accounted for 40.9 percent.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover only in November 2021 amounted to $1.4 billion, which is an increase of 37.2 percent, compared to $1.02 billion over the same period of 2020.
