Georgia’s oil products export increase

Georgia’s oil and oil products exports from January through October 2021 amounted to 21,900 tons, which is an increase of 63.4 percent, compared to 13,400 tons over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).

According to the statistics, the production also increased by 11.1 percent from 30,400 tons over the first 10 months of 2020 to 33,800 tons over the reporting period of 2021.

Georgia’s imports of oil products from January through October 2021 amounted to 1.16 million tons, which is an increase of 5.4 percent, compared to 1.10 million tons over the same period of 2020.

The domestic supply of oil products in Georgia in the reporting period of 2021 also showed an increase of 14.5 percent – from 1.03 million tons in the same period of 2020 to 1.18 million tons.

According to Geostat, the lack in stock of oil products in January 2021 amounted to 10,400 tons, while the oversupply totaled 1,800 tons in October 2021.

These indicators over the same period of 2020 were as follows: the shortage amounted to 16,700 tons in January 2020, and the oversupply totaled 16,800 tons in October 2020.
