Azerbaijan - Georgia's top fuel, lubricant supplier in 2021

Georgia’s imports value of fuels and lubricants from Azerbaijan in 2021 increased by 12 percent, compared to $369.4 million over 2020, and totaled $414 million, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The value of the exported fuels and lubricants from Azerbaijan to Georgia only in December 2021 increased by 37.1 percent, compared to $49.5 million over the same month of 2020, and by 54.3 percent, compared to $44 million in November 2021, and totaled $67.9 million.

Thus, Azerbaijan ranked first among top exporters of fuels and lubricants to Georgia over 2021. The rest of the list goes as follows:

Russia’s exports of fuels and lubricants to Georgia in 2021 amounted to $274.4 million, which is an increase of 22.3 percent, compared to $224.2 million over the same period of 2020.

Turkmenistan ranked third among main fuels and lubricants exporters to Georgia over the reporting period. The exports amounted to $191.8 million – an increase of 186.2 percent, compared to 2020 ($67).

Georgia’s total imports of fuels and lubricants in 2021 amounted to $1.2 billion, which is an increase of 41.1 percent, compared to $919.8 million over 2020.
