BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 15

By Maryana Akhmedova – Trend:

The Georgia Building Group company (GBG) has managed to build a 70-kilowatt solar panel power plant, backed by the Bank of Georgia loan worth 156,500 Georgian lari ($53,965), Trend reports via Georgian media.

"Now we have the opportunity to generate the same amount and reduce our monthly expenses,” said the company.

The company will be able to fully repay the loan in 5 years, while the service life of solar panels is expected to be at the level of 15 years.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to business incentives and future development. The company will be able to significantly save electricity costs and, moreover, generate the necessary energy itself, so as not to have to pay additional costs,” the Bank of Georgia said.

Meanwhile, Bank of Georgia has already supported another solar power plant construction project. In cooperation with “Enterprise Georgia” the Bank allocated financial resources in the amount of 131,000 Georgian lari ($42,810) to the “Processor” company.

After the installation of solar panels, the company will be able to generate about 135,000 kWh of power per 100 kW power plant, which will allow the company to save financial resources and use them for future development of production amid the increased electricity tariffs.
