Georgia’s Kutaisi International Airport restored the passenger flow by 48 percent in February 2022, compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports via Georgian media.

According to Georgia Airports Association, the number of passengers served in Kutaisi International Airport in the reporting period of 2022 amounted to 35,549 people, compared to 47,573 passengers in February 2019.

There is a positive dynamics in the number of flights at Kutaisi International Airport. The number of flights serves at the airport in February 2022 increased by 8.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2019 (157), and totaled 170 flights.

Meanwhile, according to the National Tourism Administration, the number of visitors arriving in Georgia through Kutaisi International Airport in February 2022 totaled 9,809, which is a 654-fold increase, compared to the same period of 2021 (15). The same figure slightly increased by 5.9 percent, compared to the same month of 2019 (9,263).

However, the number of visitors arriving in Georgia through Kutaisi Airport decreased by 47.7 percent, compared to February 2020 (16,826).

At this stage, Kutaisi International Airport operates 5 airlines in 24 destinations in 14 countries.
