BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. A Digital Transformation Council will be established in Georgia, within which public and private sectors will work together to fully transform the economy, including developing the IT sector, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili said, Trend reports via the press service of the Ministry.
The issue was discussed at the meeting between the minister and the representatives of the business sector.
According to the minister, the government welcomes this initiative, which will accelerate the development of the IT sector, offer communication platform, and strongly contribute to the economic development of the country.
The parties talked about the priority directions in terms of the promotion of the export of technological products created in Georgia to the international market, organizing trainings for the professional staff in the field.
“We also will have similar field meetings with all sectors to hear the needs directly from them, to reflect them in our policy, which will be more effective and needs-oriented,” Davitashvili said.
