BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21. Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau and the “Azerbaijan.Travel” Guest Center in Georgia’s Tbilisi held a webinar on the development of joint tours between the two countries on April 20, Trend reports via the press service of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board and the National Tourism Administration of Georgia.

The parties covered various issues, such as cultural and historical heritage, health tourism, trans-Caucasian hiking trails, Iter Vitis Caucasus wine route, Ali and Nino tourist route, and other initiatives.

Georgian tourism companies and public organizations specializing in tourism also took part in the online meeting held as part of the Azerbaijan-Georgia joint travel project.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan Tourism Board presented the “Azerbaijan-Georgia Combined Travel” project in Tbilisi in January 2022.

China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the US, Canada, and some EU countries were considered to be the main target countries for joint travel tours.

The joint projects of Georgia and Azerbaijan will launch as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

Until then, the partner countries agreed on the importance of joint efforts, which will inevitably yield results in the near future and will make the greatest contribution to the tourism development of both Georgia and Azerbaijan.
