Turkey - China trade turnover up

The trade turnover between Turkey and China increased by $353.8 million in January 2020 compared to the same month of 2018, and exceeded $2 billion, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend on Mar. 10.

Turkey's export to China amounted to $205.9 million, and import from China to $1.8 billion.

Meanwhile, in December 2019, the trade turnover between Turkey and China increased by $505 million compared to December 2018, amounting to $2 billion. In this month, Turkey’s export to China amounted to $219.7 million, and import from China amounted to $1.7 billion.

Turkey's export increased by 2.1 percent in 2019 and amounted to $171.5 billion compared to 2018. In the meantime, Turkey's import dropped by 9.1 percent and amounted to $202.7 billion.

Turkey's foreign trade turnover in Jan. 2020 amounted to $33.9 billion.

In Jan. 2020, Turkey's export increased by 6.4 percent compared to Jan. 2019 and amounted to $14.8 billion.

Turkey's import increased by 18.8 percent in Jan. 2020 compared to Jan. 2019, amounting to $19.2 billion.
