As many as 212,598 flights were carried out in Turkey in January-February 2020, which is 5.3 percent more compared to January-February 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry on March 12.
According to the ministry, 128,558 of the flights were domestic, while the remaining 84,040 were international.
“The number of domestic flights decreased by 4.1 percent in January-February 2020, while the number international ones increased by 7.1 percent,” the ministry said.
A total of 65,886 commercial flights were carried out at three main airports of Turkey - Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya airports in the reported period.
