Seven people were killed, including four soldiers, and 15 were injured in a suicide bombing attack in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Saturday, according to a police source, dpa reported.
A suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt when an Iraqi army patrol was passing by in al-Naby Younis area, eastern Mosul. Iraqi army units cordoned off the site after the attack.
Mosul, among the most ethnically-diverse and dangerous cities in Iraq, is located 400 kilometres north of Baghdad.
