The Iraqi government and the political forces are split on the fate of U.S. troops in Iraq after the end of the year, Al Jazeera reported.
Under the agreement between the U.S and Iraq all U.S. forces will be completely out of Iraq by December 31, 2011.
Iraqi Premier Minister Nuri al-Maliki stated U.S bases will fully withdraw from the county by the end of 2011.
Meanwhile, President of Kurdistan region of Iraq Masud Barzani said Iraq needs the U.S troops presence in the country even after 2011, warning that the withdrawal of the U.S troops will lead to civil war in Iraq.
Earlier Turkish Premier Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has demanded the U.S. not to leave its weaponry in Iraq after withdrawal from the country.
Turkey is concerned that the U.S troops may leave all its weapons in Iraq after withdrawal from the country.
