Arab World Materials 16 December 2012 06:58 (UTC +04:00)

Egypt's ousted President Hosny Mubarak suffered a head injury in a fall at a prison hospital, the newspaper al-Ahram reported Saturday.

The 84-year-old slipped in the bath of his hospital room. He was immediately treated by doctors, dpa reported.

Mubarak had a similar fall less than a month ago.

After three decades in power, he was forced to relinquish rule by massive protests in February 2011. Mubarak was sentenced in June to life in prison for his role in deadly attacks on demonstrators during his last months in office.
