The Islamist movement 'Muslim Brotherhood', whose leaders have been arrested following the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi, does not recognize the "military regime", but refuses from armed struggle against it, Reuters reported, citing the statement of one of the movement's leaders Muhammad Baltagi, RIA Novosti reported.

"No, it's unlikely," Baltagi told reporters when asked whether the activists will take up arms. He noted that Egypt underwent a military coup, and the movement is going to fight for the restoration of the rule of law in the country.

On Wednesday night, the army of Egypt ousted President-Islamist Morsi from power and began arresting his supporters among the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. The head of the political wing of the movement, the Freedom and Justice Party, Saad al-Katatni and the movement's deputy spiritual leader Rashad Bayyumi were detained on Thursday night. They have already been put in Tora prison outside Cairo. On Thursday, the Prosecutor General's Office issued a warrant for the arrest of the supreme teacher of the Muslim Brotherhood Mohammed Badia and his deputy, prominent businessman Khairat al-Shatyry. It is reported that they could face charges of killing protesters.
