Qatari Foreign Minister Khaled bin Mohamed al-Attiya has congratulated Mohammad Javad Zarif as Iran's New Foreign Minister during his initiated phone talk, ISNA news agency reported.
They also discussed bilateral relations and latest developments in the region, the report said.
It should be recalled that, Zarif started his work as Iranian new FM yesterday.
Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said that Zarif would be the best choice for the Foreign minister's post at the time.
Rouhani made the remarks during the ceremony of presenting Zarif as Iran's new Foreign Minister in country's foreign ministry.
