The Washington in the coming days will announce whether the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
"That's obviously been an issue we've received a lot of incoming on today. The President has been clear on this issue from the get-go; that it's not a matter of if, but a matter of when. No action, though, will be taken on the waiver today, and we will share a decision on the waiver in coming days", said a White House spokesman.
Earlier it was reported that next week Trump could announce the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The Palestinian side, as well as a number of countries in the Middle East, have already stated that the recognition of Jerusalem will exacerbate the Arab-Israeli conflict and destabilize the situation in the region.
