( dpa ) - Spanish police discovered an explosives cache of the armed Basque separatist group ETA Tuesday, seizing 125 kilograms of explosive components, sources in the Spanish Interior Ministry said.

The cache, which was described by reports as a hole in the ground, was found in northern Huesca province on the basis of a sketch carried by two ETA suspects who were detained on Sunday.

In addition to the explosives, the cache contained around a dozen timers and detonators.

One of the detainees, 30-year-old Igor Portu was hospitalized Monday for injuries including a broken rib, a pneumothorax and bruises.

Police said he was injured while resisting arrest, but groups defending imprisoned ETA members accused police of torture. A San Sebastian court was investigating the case.
