Sean Connery To Play Bond Villain?

( CM ) - SEAN CONNERY has revealed that he would like to star in upcoming JAMES BOND movies - but not as the legendary spy.

The Scottish actor, who starred as 007 in seven Bond movies, has stated that he would like the opportunity to play a villain.

According to the Daily Mail, initial discussions are said to have taken place between the actor and Bond producers since DANIEL CRAIG reinvigorated the 007 role two years ago with CASINO ROYALE.

However, the pay-cheque would have to be right to lure Connery back to franchise.

"I wouldn't mind coming back as a Bond villain," Connery told the newspaper.

"But I don't think they would pay me enough money."

In the same interview, Connery went on to praise how Daniel handled the role, declaring him to be a "terrific choice" for Bond.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that the next Bond instalment QUANTUM Of SOLACE will be hitting UK cinemas earlier than expected.

The film's producers recently announced that the film, which stars GEMMA ARTERTON and DANIEL CRAIG will be released on October 31st.
