Sambora's attorney entered a plea of no contest on his client's behalf to a charge of driving with a blood-alcohol content above California's legal limit. A second charge was dropped.
The musicians was also ordered to pay a fine in the case.
He had faced trial next month following his arrest in late March in Laguna Beach, California, after he was stopped for allegedly weaving on the road. Sambora's girlfriend, his 10-year-old daughter and a cousin of the child were riding in his Hummer.
