CSI co-star Gary Dourdan was arrested Monday for possession of narcotics and dangerous drugs after falling asleep in his car outside a police station, authorities said Tuesday.
The 41-year-old actor has played crime-scene investigator Warrick Brown on CSI since 2000, but his arrest was caused by rookie errors. He was sleeping in his car, which was parked on the wrong side of the street outside the Palm Springs police station with the interior light on, the dpa reported.
When an officer checked the vehicle around 5 am, he found Dourdan to be disoriented and possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He arrested Dourdan after locating suspected cocaine, heroin, Ecstacy, miscellaneous prescription drugs and paraphernalia according to Palm Springs Police Sgt Mitch Spike.
Dourdan was released on 5,000 dollars bail later Monday. A court date was not immediately scheduled.
