Other News Materials 22 May 2008 17:53 (UTC +04:00)

Kia Paris Motor Show Kia showed its first Soul Concept at the 2006 North American International Auto Show and displayed its three faces (Soul Burner, Soul Diva and Soul Searcher) at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show. The production version of the Kia Soul will now make its official world debut at the upcoming Paris Auto Show later this year and the car will retain its concept phase nameplate, reported Worldcarfans.

The Souls that will go on sale will not be as outlandish as the three concept cars, but Kia will offer a 'world of possibilities' when it comes to personalizing the car. For instance, the three images attached are painted in Tomato Red, Vanilla Shake and Bright Silver. What other customizations they have in store for their young and young-at-heart customers has not been announced yet.

The Kia Soul is an entirely new model for the Korean marque and they will allow it to be a bit of a rebel. The original SOUL Concept car was designed by the manufacturers California and Korea design studios whereas the Geneva show cars were concocted by Kia Europe.

"The SOUL concept cars reveal a whole new 'fun' side to Kia. They signal that our new Kia Soul production model is poised to defy convention and offer buyers a 'world of possibilities' for expressing their personality. This new model will reach out to a new group of consumers, appealing especially to the young and young-at-heart," said Mr. Hyoung-Keun Lee, Senior Executive Vice President and COO at Kia.

The Kia Soul will go into production in September, a month before its world debut.
