( dpa ) - Quique Sanchez Flores is all set to become the new coach of Lisbon giants Benfica, according to Spanish and Portuguese media reports on Friday.
The Spanish coach has signed a contract with Benfica until June 2010.
According to the digital version of Marca, Sanchez Flores has asked Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira for four major signings this summer, including a central defender and a defensive midfielder.
Benfica finished in disappointing fourth place in the Portuguese league this season, no less than 23 points behind runaway champions FC Porto.
Sanchez Flores has been out of contract since being sacked by Valencia in October. His previous club in Spain was Getafe.
