Ali Larijani says Iran's Parliament (Majlis) follows the Palestinian issue closely as one of the most important concerns among the Muslim world, reported PressTv.
In a phone conversation with Hamas Political Chief Khalid Mashaal, Iran's Parliament speaker Larijani stressed the necessity to maintain unity among Palestinian resistance forces, and assured the Hamas chief of the Iranian Parliament's support for the resistance movement.
Pointing out the dire situation of the Palestinians today, particularly the closure of Gaza by the Zionist regime and the United States, Larijani expressed hope that Hamas and other resistance groups will be victorious.
The Hamas political leader, for his part, congratulated Larijani on his new role as Speaker of Iran's Parliament (Majlis), and described Larijani's stance on the Palestine issue as courageous.
"With reliance on such stances we are confident that the Palestinian resistance will continue the path of victory," Mashaal remarked.
