A lyric from Snap!'s Rhythm Is A Dancer has been named the worst of all time in a new poll.

The line "I'm serious as cancer, when I say rhythm is a dancer" topped a survey carried out by magpiemusic.com to find the worst lyrics ever, the CM reported.

Des'Ree's prosaic lines from Life - "I don't want to see a ghost, it's a sight that I fear the most, I'd rather have a piece of toast, watch the evening news" - were voted second worst while cringeworthy efforts from Nelly, Avril Lavigne and 50 Cent also featured in the top five.

Will Smith, Shakira and Sisqo were also named and shamed in the poll.
