McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen clinched the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix Sunday after Felipe Massa suffered engine damage as he appeared to be heading to a comfortable victory, dpa reported.
The engine of Massa's Ferrari blew up at the start-finish line with just three laps remaining allowing the Finnish driver to grab his first F1 victory.
Toyoto driver Timo Glock of Germany held off a challenge by Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen to finish second for his first podium place, while McLaren's Lewis Hamilton recovered from a puncture to rescue fifth place behind Renault's Fernando Alonso.
