An employee has been charged in the slaying of a woman at a birthday party for the rapper Lil' Kim on Sunday, The New York Times reported Thursday.
Bouncer Sayed Rahman, who works at the Spotlight Live where the rapper held the party, told police that he struck the woman, Ingrid Rivera, 24, on the back of the head with a metal pipe.
Police said that Sayed attacked her because she refused his advances. Her body was discovered Wednesday in a closet on the roof of the club, the dpa reported.
The incident was another brush with controversy for Lil' Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, and who served almost 10 months in jail in 2006 for lying about a shootout outside a hip-hop radio station in Manhattan.
