Belarus moves along despite difficulties, president

Despite all the present difficulties Belarus moves along the chosen way, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said during the state awards ceremony on January 16, reported Belta.

The head of state underscored that achievements of representatives of various branches of the national economy, who were awarded on that day, vividly demonstrate that the country follows the intended way. They are all united in the dedication of their fruitful labour and energy, talents and intellect to benefits of Belarus, enhancement of its economic, scientific and spiritual potential, and security. They contribute to the improvement of Belarus' prestige and image, to securing the country's decent standing in the world.

Workers, specialists, heads of industrial and construction companies constitute the largest part of the awardees. Among real economy enterprises Alexander Lukashenko pointed out the success of Belaruskali as the export of fertilisers is one of the most important sources of foreign currency.

The President underscored that representatives of power-wielding agencies had deserved their awards. Thanks to outstanding professional skills and exemplary service they have achieved good results in securing law and order, building up the country's defensive capability. The number of awardees also includes workers of state administration bodies, former and existing parliament members, bankers. The fact confirms that professionals, who take an active part in securing the major goals the state has to achieve, work in executive and legislative power bodies.

The President was confident the awardees will continue their selfless and productive labour, making Belarus stronger.
