DPRK rocket passes over Japan

The DPRK launched a rocket on Sunday that passed over Japan, Japanese government said, Xinhua reported.

There were no reports of damage in Japan after the launch and Japan did not launch interceptor, according to Japanese media.

Japan ended tracking the rocket 2,100 km west of Japan in Pacific.

The U.S. State Department confirmed DPRK's launch of the rocket.
