President's Cup Chess Tournament in memory of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev was held in Baku May 7.
Azerbaijani team and the teams worldwide took part in the Chess Tournament held at the center of creativity UNS.
The opening ceremony of the Tournament was attended by the President of Chess Federation Elman Rustamov, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, the President of the International Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and other guests. Making speeches in the opening ceremony, Rustamov and Ilyumzhinov noted the development of chess in Azerbaijan and wished good luck to all participants of the Tournament.
