Four Afghan civilians were killed Saturday as their car hit a roadside bomb in Dehsabz district, north of capital city Kabul, a statement of Interior Ministry said Sunday, Xinhua reported.

"It was 5:15 p.m.(GMT1245) when a roadside bomb exploded in Dehsabz district, as a result four civilians were killed," the statement added.

The statement blamed the attack on enemies of Afghanistan by saying "the bomb was planted by atrocious terrorists to kill ancient people".

The incident took place in Ghulam Qader Khan Village on the main road from Kabul to Bagram airport, the main base of U.S. and NATO forces in the post-Taliban country.
