Kim Jong Il, the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, has inspected and praised the work of a center for training commanding officers, the official news agency KCNA reported Sunday.

Kim Jong Il, the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, has inspected and praised the work of a center for training commanding officers, the official news agency KCNA reported Sunday.
   Kim Jong Il is also the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), Xinhua reported.
   The training center is situated in the north of the Phyongan Province.
   According to KCNA, Kim Jong Il expressed great satisfaction with the fact that the training center has created good educational environment and he highly appreciated the feats performed by those at the training center.
   Kim pointed out that the commanding officers must have loyalty to the Party and the revolution, share their destiny with the Party under any circumstances.
   He also stressed the need to pay great attention to ideological training.
   The DPRK leader has also inspected the December 5 Youth Mine, Pukjung Machine Complex, Pukjung Electrode Factory and the Jangsan Co-operative Farm in the Ryongchon County of the Phyongan Province.
   Kim Jong Il expressed great satisfaction over the efforts by the workers and farmers, and highly appreciated their deeds.
