An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Kermadec Islands, New Zealand 03:00 p.m. Sunday (0300 GMT), said the U.S. Geological Survey on Sunday, Xinhua reported.
The epicenter was monitored at 30.855 degrees south latitude and 178.239 degrees west longitude with the depth of 36.7 km, about 182 km south from Raoul Island, Kermadec Islands.
